A summer's leave....in poetry-shape

The light summer rain, down it will fall,
Sun is dimmed behind a curtain so grey,
Alas a goddess is seen, bright and tall,
Her smile and eyes make the greyness sway,

Poets of old compared her to the sun,
A comparison so wrong and unfair,
The sight of her beauty will make the sun hide and run,
Love and kindness, she gives more than a man alone can bear,

The sums of all is a constant it is said,
Adding love to love gives a sum so great and sweet,
Although we not always share a bed,
You make me feel love and from that springs red, hot, heat.
